No 2026 dates yet
The organisers announce dates and the year's theme on their Facebook page, usually in the first half of October. Nothing is out for 2026.

The 2025 edition, Echoes of the Sisters, ran on the Fridays of 24 and 31 October, walk-throughs every fifteen minutes from 5pm to 8pm, $10 at the door. Treat that as the shape of it rather than this year's schedule.

What it is
A volunteer-run haunted walk-through staged in the grounds and the house at Macaulay Heritage Park, in the middle of Picton.
It is a fixture rather than a commercial haunt: cheap at the door, run by people from the County, and built around the site's real history rather than generic scares.
Each year gets a title and a story. The fourth edition, in 2025, was Echoes of the Sisters, after the Fox Sisters, the spiritualist mediums connected to the house.
Good to know
- Nothing is confirmed for 2026. The Facebook page is where it gets announced, usually a couple of weeks out.
- It has run on the Friday evenings at the end of October in past years, in short timed slots rather than as a fixed start.
- Same park as the County Museums candlelight tours, which are a different, calmer event and already have their 2026 dates.
Fitting it round a tasting day
An early-evening Picton event, so it fits after a day out east without a drive back across the County.
