What it is
A Sunday market where every vendor must personally grow, raise or make what they are selling. The organisers enforce it, and say so plainly: no resellers, no mass-produced goods, no imported trinkets.
The emphasis is on local sourcing and environmentally sustainable farming.
It runs later in the year than the Saturday markets, into the last week of October.
Good to know
- Parking is in Market Lane or the King and Elizabeth Street lots.
- Sunday mornings are also when the County's tasting rooms are quietest. This is a good pairing.
Fitting it round a tasting day
Picton is the natural base for the eastern wineries; do the market first and drive out towards Waupoos after.
